Super excited when I packed my bag because I will went to another famous island with famous beach and famous view B-). LOMBOK wohooo..
Been booked my flight using Garuda since this April.. -helll yeah- for flight at November, thats why I got cheap price for return flight (1.3 million IDR using Garuda). I stayed only 3 days and two nights at Lombok. But only effective 2 days only for exploring.
Early in the morning I headed to airport and yeaah it was quite heavy waking up early in the morning because you have to pack up your bag on the mid night. I was busy on that week. And usually I come to airport 40-30 minutes before flight because god bless city check in, saving my time :D
From Jakarta to Lombok took approx 2 hours and I arrived Lombok arround 9am (Lombok time). Praya airport located on the middle of Lombok while the beach and the tourist destination mostly on the side of Lombok. For budget travel like me to reach Senggigi you can use Damri (a shuttle bus) which connect us from airport to Senggigi. The bus ticket fare is IDR 30,000 for each person.
Lucky our hotel is on the side of Sengigi road and I asked to the driver to stopin front of the hotel. Ah.. during in Lombok I stayed in Sunset House Lombok with price IDR 350,000/night. The hotel might budget price but the facility was fascinating for price like this. I totally recommended to stay at this hotel if you visiting Lombok.
What am I doing during my holiday on Lombok for 2 nights and 3 days? With effective day to spend for holiday... :
Day 1.
Checked in at hotel and yup the hotel provided bike to rent.
Do I know any roads in Lombok? Of course not!
Ladies and gentlemen please say thank you for the best invention ever.... GPS in phone.
Not too much road sign on Lombok but you dont have to worry to follow the GPS guidance. If you still in doubt you can ask the local people to show the road.
Getting lost? Hey we are in holiday... so let get LOST :)
Well after renting bike and having lunch, I go to Kuta beach. Not only Bali has Kuta but Lombok also has it.
If in Bali Kuta beach is crowded like an airport but in Lombok, Kuta beach is totally quite. You'll feel like visiting a private beach.
If you like to surfing this beach is the right place. They have a perfect wave for you to surf. And also the location from airport to Kuta is really near. Only 30 minutes approx.

During the way to Kuta I notice there is Sasak Village named Desa Sade. Sasak people is a tribe that famous on Lombok. They live in a house which still in traditonal shape and the floor is cover by cow feces. And yeah they sleep on it.
Inside this village you can see how they live. The man usually go to field rice as a farmer and the woman weaving to make some fabric. We might know it as Ikat.
After walking inside of this village my next destination is trying to eat a famous food from Lombok. Which is Ayam Taliwang. I googled for a while that a famous restourant is named "Ayam Taliwan 2 Em" it located on Mataram. I looove spicy food and this ayam taliwang is suuupper spicy.
Stomach fully loaded it's time for back to the hotel. Since I planned to wake up early morning for visiting the famous Gili Islands at the next day.
Day 2
Wake up on 6 am and then having breakfast, I continue my journey to Bangal Harbour. Ain't a complete holiday if you go to Lombok but not visiting this famous island.
The fare for acrossing Bangsal Harbour to Gili Trawangan harbour is only IDR 10,000. And only took 30 minutes from Bangsal to Gili Trawangan.
The activity that we can do here like snorkeling to three Gilis..
Snorkelin was superb. Fishes are colourful.. I even met sea turtle
The snorkle it self took 3 hours and spending all day on ocean... why not?
I really wish I can stay at Gili but since that's not possible to do, promise to myself to comeback again to this island :)
Back to Bangsal and heading to hotel, I stop at Bukit Malimbu. At this point you can see the three Gili from above. You can see Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air.

Thats the end of the holiday. And I promise to comeback again.
Please dont try: Only spen 2 DAYS on Lombok.... seriously a NO!!
